LaunchAbility® is honored to have so many dedicated, talented and passionate supporters. Here’s how you can use your abilities and join this astonishing group.

Your time and energy will help launch adults with disabilities into more fulfilling, independent and self-sufficient lives. You can volunteer through our CARE Auxiliary, which is a unique way to have fun and learn while supporting LaunchAbility’s trendsetting work building hope, confidence and independence for adults with cognitive disabilities and their families.

If you are interested please complete a membership application or call 469-241-9100 for more information.

Clerical volunteers are needed throughout the year to assist with various duties from large mailings to filing and light computer work.

Continued Support Advocates

Volunteers are needed to work one-on-one with our employed clients, visiting them on the job at regular intervals, observing their performances and speaking with clients, supervisors and other employees. Then reporting back to LaunchAbility®.

Special Events

Volunteer to participate in client and family events, employer networking events, or at our BIG annual gala A Special Evening. Organize volunteers, put together mailings, design flyers, cultivating or solicit event sponsorships or in-kind gifts and services are a few of the activities that are a huge support to us and our mission.

For more information or to become a volunteer, please contact Kelsey Howell at 469-241-9100.

Without employer partners who are willing to embrace a diverse culture and who appreciate a significant "return on inclusion" in their workforce, it would be virtually impossible for us to create life changing opportunities for our clients. Even the simple referral to another employer who might benefit from hiring our clients creates astounding opportunities for all involved.

It costs us $12,000 to $15,000 to fully support each client with cognitive disabilities. Many clients cannot afford these fees and government funds only 60% of our real costs for those who receive some of the government services. To complete an in-depth assessment, develop and find the right job, and train on the job over nine to twelve months – is an intensive process. But, for every person placed in a full-time job with benefits, saves the government $44,000 dollars in taxes gained and reduced need for social services.

Or, put another way – every dollar spent on our services returns $17 back to the community. That’s more than a donation…it’s a worthy investment to change a life!

If you have a corporate giving department where you work or know of a foundation in search of a worthy non-profit to support, please send them our way. Or you can give us an introduction, and we’ll do the legwork.

So give. And turn our adult client’s capabilities into opportunities.

For them. For you. For our community.
